“MONTREAL, A GARDEN CITY IN ALL SEASONS”

Saturday and Sunday August 18 and 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Vernissage: 1 p.m. on Saturday / Awards Ceremony 4 p.m. Sunday

The Mount Royal Cemetery is one of the oldest rural garden cemeteries in North America and has been an integral part of the Montreal Community since its founding in 1852. The serene landscapes and remnants from the past make it a peaceful place of beauty and reality for visitors, and the abundant flowering shrubs and fruit trees provide a safe haven for small wildlife. The many aspects of the cemetery also provide great inspiration to artists and photographers alike.

The Friends of the Mount Royal Cemetery invite you to join us in portraying the beautiful gardens and colours found everywhere in Montreal, and how the magnificent colours of this renowned garden cemetery are representative of Montreal. Display your works depicting some aspect of the cemetery along with your other works that fit within this year’s exhibition theme.

A qualified jury will select winners based on criteria of adherence to the theme, composition, originality and technical ability through the medium of your choice. Prizes will be awarded and works may be selected by the Friends of the Mount Royal Cemetery
