We are seeking a Seasonal General Laborer to join our team . This position involves assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds, as well as performing tasks related to grave preparation and monument foundations.
Job description
Preparation of gravesites for burials.
Assisting with the building of grave foundations
Installation of monuments / markers.
General manual labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and digging.
Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the cemetery grounds.
Requirements
No prior experience required, though experience in general labor or cemetery work is an asset
Ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical stamina to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and respect for the cemetery environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Valid driver’s license
Researched skills
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use tools and equipment effectively for tasks such as digging, lifting, and maintaining cemetery structures
Physical Endurance: Capacity to work outdoors for long hours and perform repetitive physical tasks such as digging and carrying heavy objects
Attention to Detail: Precision when preparing gravesites, ensuring accuracy in measurements and placements for foundations and markers
Team Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively with team members, respecting the collaborative nature of the tasks
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to varying weather conditions and work demands across different tasks
