A columbarium is a dedicated architectural structure or building located within our cemeteries, designed to permanently and respectfully house funeral urns containing the ashes of the deceased following cremation. Composed of individual, family, or double niches, a columbarium offers an elegant and protected final resting place, allowing loved ones to gather in peace and serenity.

At Mount Royal Commemorative Services, we offer families flexibility and choice by providing columbarium options across each of our three sites: Mount Royal Cemetery, Des Trembles Cemetery, and Belvédère Cemetery.

To suit everyone’s preferences, each site features two types of settings:

• Indoor Columbarium: Climate-controlled and harmonious spaces that allow families to gather sheltered from the elements, in a peaceful and comfortable environment year-round.
• Outdoor Columbarium: Seamlessly integrated into the natural splendor of our grounds, these wall or landscaped structures offer a place of remembrance in the heart of nature.

Depending on the chosen location, niches can be finished with engraved marble for classic elegance, or enclosed with a glass front allowing the urn and personal keepsakes to be displayed. Choosing a columbarium niche is a modern, respectful alternative to traditional burial.
